Hey there and welcome!

My name is Brittany Mezhir and I am a junior at the University of Pittsburgh. I am originally from Lewiston, New York, a small town outside of Buffalo. I am currently pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management with a minor in Spanish and certificate in International Business.

I am a Pathfinder at the University as well as a member of the executive board for Women in Business. I am extremely excited to be heading to Buenos Aires, Argentina for 6 weeks! I cannot believe that this trip is beginning so soon. During my time, I will have an internship as well as taking one class, called Introduction to International Economics. I chose this program because I have never had the opportunity to travel to South America before. I also hope to greatly improve my Spanish speaking, listening, and writing skills. I want to learn and engage in the culture of the Argentinians.

Although this will be the experience of a lifetime, I still have my worries. There will be difficulties communicating in Spanish during my internship as well as in my homestay with my host family. I must also adapt to the etiquette of a new business world. I will make mistakes in the beginning, but that is all part of the fun!

I am excited to report back on all my adventures!
