Hello! My name is Maggie Koontz. I am a rising junior at the University of Pittsburgh. I am majoring in English Writing (Nonfiction) and German Language & Cultural Studies. I am minoring in English Literature. I can’t believe my sophomore year has finally ended and that I am about to spend most of my summer in Berlin. As a German major, I am thrilled to finally visit Germany and speak the native language.

I will be interning for a company called The Changer. They are a business that focuses on the social aspect of the world and offers a variety of opportunities. I am not entirely sure what I will be doing, but I can’t wait to take on projects and improve my writing. It will be a great experience to work alongside such dedicated people.

I am a bit nervous to fly all by myself and live in a foreign country for such an extended amount of time. Although I know I will miss my family, pets, and friends a lot, this is going to be an amazing experience and I can’t wait to document every minute of it.
