Seeing that I am a coffee fanatic, I have picked up a few facts and tidbits about my beloved drink of choice here in London. First of which is that you can not order coffee black here – in fact, the term “black coffee” is not commonly used. However, I found it interesting that you can order your tea black, meaning with no cream or sugar. Another thing I noticed while searching for the perfect cup of coffee in my area is that most coffee shops stick to expresso based drinks, not classic coffee. The good news is that they will always have a cool design in the foam, even at Starbucks! (As seen in my photo for this blog.)
So far my favorite place to order coffee is a small shop in the Camden Market called Curator Coffee. They offer the essential drink choices, iced or hot, but the real reason I’ve grown to love this coffee spot is because they offer oat milk. I recommend it to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet! Aside from coffee, I also thoroughly enjoy tea, and thankfully quality tea is served at most places in London. I leave you with the wise words of Gabriel Bá, “It doesn’t matter where you’re from – or how you feel… There’s always peace in a strong cup of coffee”.
