Briana Jeter IIP Berlin: Auf Wiedersehen!

At the start of my time in Berlin, I couldn’t stop thinking about how long I would be away from my home and everything I knew. But this summer has flown by and my time in Berlin seems to have come and gone in the blink of an eye. My time in Berlin has been amazing and I have met people, visited places and experienced things that I will remember forever. I was able to prove to myself and other that I can easily adapt to new life in a new place with new people. Berlin quickly became my home away from home and I will thoroughly miss my routine that I became so familiar with in my 11 weeks in Germany. This experience has not only given me the opportunity to learn and grow within the business world but has also given me the opportunity to experience and immerse myself in different cultures as I have traveled through Germany and Europe in general.

As excited as I am to be able to drive my car, see my family and eat at all of my favorite restaurants I am very sad to leave behind the opportunity to hop on a quick 2-3 hour flight and be able to experience a completely different culture/way of life. Aside from my amazing internship and the people on this trip that have made my time in Berlin great, Im going to miss traveling Europe on the weekends. During my time abroad, in addition to Berlin, I was able to visit and explore Dresden, Germany, Venice, Italy, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Prague, Czech Republic and Hamburg, Germany. I will really miss my European adventures but I have definitely caught the travel bug and hope to continue my traveling adventures throughout the US. Although I came to think of Berlin as home and will miss the German culture, I am excited to get back and share my experience with my friends and family and start my post-grad life!

Tschüss, Berlin!
