Dublin Tour Guide – Reporting for Duty

This week’s blog is going to be focused on my top must see sites around Dublin!

Luckily, my parents were in town this past week so I was able to use this list of places to take them to.

First on the list is Howth.

Howth is a small fishing village on the western coast of Dublin. Howth has a beautiful cliff walk if you like to hike and get the best views of the coast. It is also known for having the best (and freshest) seafood around. Below is a picture of my little sister and I outside the lighthouse in Howth. Beautiful views and great food!

The second must see place in Dublin is EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum.

This museum is an interactive way to learn about Irish history and where people traveled to escape the troubles and the famine. The museum gives you a passport to stamp in every room as you travel through history. It was a fun and interactive way to learn and embrace my Irish Heritage!

The third must see location in Dublin is the Kilmainham Gaol.

The Kilmainham Gaol used to be an irish jail that is now a museum. This jail is incredibly interesting if you are a history buff like me. One of my favorite parts of Ireland is the rich history it holds. When exploring the jail, you will learn all about the fight for irish independence. Just make sure to buy your ticket early, because they sell out fast!

Bonus suggestion:

A great pub to sit and enjoy a great meal is The Church. This is a former church turned pub/restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is cheap, and it has great architecture to admire.
