¡Hola a todos! Welcome to my blog. I am extremely excited to be making a trip to Madrid, Spain this summer as a part of Pitt’s International Internship Program study abroad program. Please follow along with me on my journey by checking into my blog.
I am a College of Business Administration student majoring in Supply Chain Management and Marketing with a certificate in Data Analytics. Outside of class, I am involved with Kappa Delta Sorority, Pittsburgh Students Active in Lutheran Ministry, Phi Beta Lambda, The Blue and Gold Society, and The Pitt News! I am originally from an hour north of Philly in a town called Doylestown which is in Bucks County. I have been studying Spanish for seven years and I cannot wait to finally be emersed in the culture and language. My ultimate goal for the program is to gain a level of fluency in the language. Also, I love traveling. As an extroverted person, I enjoy meeting people and being exposed to the unknown.
I have chosen this program because I am so eager to learn about the language, the people, the dancing, the food, the art, the history, and everything else that Spain has to offer. I am ready to stay with a host family to understand life as a Spanish citizen as well as expand my global and professional skills through my internship placement. I am still awaiting my placements for both my internship and my homestay, but after my placement meeting, I am feeling confident that I will be placed in an internship where I will be able to grow my professional knowledge and language skills.
I cannot wait to share my daily experiences with you all and create a diary for myself.
¡Te escribiré pronto!
(I’ll write to you soon!)
