Sites to See

My top three sites to see in Sydney are Bondi Beach, the Royal Botanic Gardens, and the Sydney Harbor. Bondi Beach is by far my favorite beach in the city because of the gorgeous sand, clear water, and cute beach front stores. Going to Bondi is great for a warm day as you can relax on the beach for a couple of hours, then afterwards, get something fresh to eat and browse through local shops. I personally like to go to Bondi as early as possible then grab an acai bowl for lunch at the Fruitologist. Additionally, if you’re up for a hike, walking the Bondi to Coogee walk is an excellent way to see most of the gorgeous coast line. Another place that I enjoy visiting is the Royal Botanic Garden. I particularly like to go there around noon, usually to walk around and enjoy the gorgeous views before grabbing a bite to eat in the city. The botanical gardens wrap around the harbor and offer an excellent view of the Harbor Bride and the Sydney Opera House. Lastly, I enjoy going to the Sydney Harbor in Circular Quay as there’s always something fun to do around there.

In addition to my favorite sites to visit, I also have a favorite restaurant to visit in Spice Alley, which is conveniently right down the street from the student accommodations. Spice Alley is exactly how it sounds, the Alley offers a wide variety of food from places all over Asia. Spice Alley has food from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam, so there is definitely something new that I can try every time I go there. Currently, my favorite restaurant to get food from is Old Kim Jee. I really enjoy trying a different entrée every time that I visit.
