Galway Girl

This week I was lucky to accompany my company in Galway this week as they premiered their new piece Cloud Study. Last night was the first show and it was amazing to see all the work my company and I have done this summer come together to put on a spectacular dance. The show couldn’t have gone any better and the audiences reactions and praise made it all worth it. I even caught a glance of one woman in the audience crying which really cemented the fact for me that this piece was truly powerful.

When I haven’t been working, I have been spending my time exploring Galway. Being on the opposite side of the country from Dublin, its no surprise that Galway feels so different. It is much more calm and seems to boast a much higher appreciation for the arts. This makes sense of course since one of the largest arts festivals in the country is held in Galway.

Set as the feature photo is the table at the entrance of the festival gallery. Among the brochures is one I designed for my company (on the far right). Its cool to know that people across the country will be seeing material I have made.

Cheers,

Danielle
