This past weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting Vienna, Austria. My roommate and I left Friday after work and arrived at around 11pm (the flixbus being delayed by 45 minutes set us back a little bit). Once there, we stopped on our way to our airbnb to get a quick Doner Kebab and we hit the hay to gear up for our packed day ahead of us.
Saturday, we took a day long bicycle wine tasting tour through the Austrian countryside. This was an absolutely amazing time- I loved being able to see the countryside, the wine was delicious, and I was able to learn about that part of Austrian culture. While on our tour, we befriended a person from London who taught us a lot about the UK over dinner. It was neat to experience Vienna with people from other countries and get their perspective on being a tourist. I learned it’s actually pretty similar to my own thoughts- people aren’t actually as different as they seem!
On Sunday, we went to the Albertina Museum to see famous artwork- Monet and Picasso were featured!! Below are some of my favorites:
We then had some time to kill so we visited the aquarium. I’m not the biggest fish fan but my roommate just about died when she found out they had 9 floors of different types of fish. I got to enjoy my time there, even though there were a bunch of screaming kids and it was not air conditioned.
This was my last trip for the summer and today (Monday) started my last day of work. I really love Prague and I’m happy that this summer has treated me so nicely. I’m currently in the process of finishing up a couple of projects and getting everything organized so my coworkers know exactly what i’ve been doing and how to continue growing the parts of the business I have worked on.
