8/7: Pitt > Trinity College

After a long break of no classes, we finally had classroom action.  The class was given a cool case study about Playpumps from Cathy.  I along side three other classmates were the entrepreneurs of Playpump.  The overall theme of the case study was talk and collaborate with other stakeholders.  Immediately after the case study the class got time to work on the paper due Friday.  I am not going to lie, that time was helpful as our group asked questions to improve our work.

Then, in the afternoon, we visited the Irish modern art museum.  To be honest, I was a bit underwhelmed by the art pieces.  I did not feel any emotion to any of the works.  The coolest thing I experienced was the garden, you could lost within the bush landscape.  I found that neat. Unfortunately, I could not learn much about the culture from the Irish modern art museum.  I was expecting more.  I was told coming here that the Irish are not into modern art, and this was evidence suggesting that the statement is true.

After the Irish modern art museum, the class went to Trinity College.  We saw the library.  I wish I had more time to look at the book of Kells. The tour put a thirty minute time limit.  The library was so symmetrical, I was impressed.  That being said, I do not need to see it again.  Standing around Trinity College, I realized that I would hate to have all these tourist in my quad.  I am glad that Pitt doesn’t have that.

Tomorrow we will go to the botanical gardens which should be neat.
