My name is Miya Bound and I am from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Some of my hobbies include playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with my little sister. I am still trying to figure out what I want to major in within business, but I am leaning toward finance. I am participating in the Pitt Business Haller Global Honors Fellowship because I want to gain exposure to Pitt and its class structure before beginning as a freshman in the fall. I am excited to explore Pittsburgh because I am unfamiliar with the area and I want to get more comfortable with the campus before becoming a full-time student. I also want to learn more about global business, and I am looking forward to visiting Dublin, a place I have not yet been to. I think it will be very interesting to see the differences in the way businesses operate in Ireland compared to the Unites States. I would also like to improve my communication skills while meeting with the individuals involved in the companies we are visiting in both Pittsburgh and Dublin by engaging in conversation about the businesses and asking questions. Overall, I am extremely excited for this opportunity and how it will help me better prepare for my four years at Pitt in the business program.
