Kilkenny was an amazing place to experience because while it is slightly tourist-based, many Irish natives travel to the town for day trips and vacations. This makes it interesting in that you have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. We got the chance to visit a couple beautiful churches and climb to the top of a tower, which was terrifying and incredible at the same time. Then we went to Glendalough, which has one of the prettiest landscapes I have ever seen. The trees, mountains, and lakes were gorgeous, and it was a peaceful change from the chaotic atmosphere of Dublin. Both places were amazing and have made me want to see more of Ireland.
