The commercial opportunity for Microsoft setting roots in Ireland lies in Dublin’s quickly growing tech and pharmaceutical market. 8/10 of Europe’s largest IT companies and pharmaceutical companies are located in Ireland. Irelands main focus is innovation and technology, providing a gateway to the rest of Europe. Just by being located in the young, cosmopolitan area your company is improving and making new opportunities possible. Microsoft has over 1000 employees, and 50% of them are from different countries in the world. This diversity leads to increased innovation and new ideas possible, and Ireland is one of the most diverse paces right now.

The one challenge Microsoft might face is If they become too diverse. If all the sudden they have 100 employees from 100 different countries, then that could cause a break in communication within the company, and lead to them being less productive. However, due to the vast infrastructure within Microsoft, they should be able to handle this challenge.

            One question I have for Microsoft is if seeing all these tech companies coming in and providing rival competition, does that affect how you do business and does all the buzz around tech in Dublin hurt your company or promote growth or not affect you guys.
