This is my last week here in London. These 6 weeks have flown by incredibly fast. It has truly been an experience of a lifetime. I have been immersed in this culture for so long that it will actually be an adjustment to adjust back to American culture. I think I have forgotten which way to look when crossing the street. The little things like that will be the biggest adjustment for me when returning to the states. The culture here is very unique and I loved every minute of it. London is just such a wonderful city with so much to do. There are definitely a lot of things that I missed while here. It would take years to discover all that London has to offer. From all the museums, to the landmarks and the historical sites, London can not be topped. That doesn’t even include any of the many shops and restaurants along with other more modern tourist attractions. London is such a great city that I have been lucky enough to be given the chance to explore. However, being already across the pond, it has given me such a big chance to explore the rest of Europe. I went on a day trip to Liverpool, and weekend trips to Milan, Geneva, and Malta. I had a really great time on these trips. It was really nice to be able to get away for a little bit and travel around. I really loved all of these places. They were all really unique in their own way, unique to their own country. My favorite place was Malta. If you don’t know Malta is an island nation that is just south of Sicily. It was so beautiful to see all the old buildings picked together with the modern architecture of the country. The Mediterranean sea was also so amazing, I really felt like on a tropical beach vacation with a European twist.
Overall, this experience is something that I will never forget. The memories that I have made here will last me a lifetime. This is something that I will be telling my grandchildren for years to come.
