Hello, I’m Owen Baker. I’m an incoming freshman intending to major in finance and business analytics. I’m still very unsure of what I want my future career to be. I hope that through the Haller program and my time at Pitt, I will discover where my professional interests lie. 

This summer, I’m happy to say that I am a participant in the Haller Global Honors Fellowship. This program involves two and a half weeks of classes and preparation work on Pitt’s campus. The ultimate goal is to provide an achievable business plan to an entrepreneur in Ireland. Our consulting project will then take us to Ireland for a week and a half. We will not only get to assist our client, but we will also get to explore Dublin and the surrounding area. I’m excited to get the opportunity to be a member in a consulting project and get a taste for what a career in this field could look like. The class I will take during this project will give me a global perspective on the inner-workings of business analysis.
