My professional development takeaway from my time in Pittsburgh is that there are many ways to incorporate sustainability into a business. For example, Blanket & Board uses biodegradable plates, utensils, and cups to limit their waste. Also, The Refillery only sells products made locally and ethically. There are many businesses in the Pittsburgh area that are both sustainable and successful.

My personal development from being in Pittsburgh is that I now feel so much more prepared to begin my college experience in a few weeks. I think that I have a better understanding of the campus, the people, and the classes. Being in Pittsburgh these past couple of weeks has made me very excited to be an incoming freshman at Pitt.
