My professional takeaway from my time in Pittsburgh is that I am really passionate about business. I really enjoyed my classes here and I like applying the concepts I learned in class to businesses that are in my life. I also found that I enjoyed marketing analysis because I was very interested when the professionals on our site visits talked about their marketing strategies. For example, the Refillery had a calendar-based marketing plan that was about posting enough content to be picked up by social media algorithms.
In terms of personal development, I became less nervous about the start of the Fall semester because I made friends with the people I met through this program. I also learned to navigate the campus and a class schedule, which also makes the Fall semester seem easier.
