My largest professional development takeaway was from Global Links. The experience of going there and volunteering for a good cause was very interesting and rewarding for me. I could definitely see myself volunteering there in the future or even potentially getting an internship. It was also interesting to see how they manage their products and keep them very organized, so they are ready to be shipped. 

My personal development takeaway from this program is that I now am comfortable with campus, and I have made some friends before fall semester starts. I’m sure that welcome week and the beginning of the semester will be very chaotic, so I am glad that I won’t need to worry about learning the campus. Before this program, I didn’t know anyone in my class at Pitt. So, now that I know the other Haller’s, the first few weeks will be a lot easier.
