This week we were put into our project groups and started to think about our scope of work for our presentation in Carrigart. I chose to be on the marketing side of the project because I love to work out what promotes a product and draws customers in. This particular project is exciting because of the scale of the company. It is a small community therefore allowing us to come up with creative suggestions for the future relationships between the company and acquiring new and existing customers. In this scope of work, there is also a prominent analytics side of the project. This allows us to analyze a market segment and evaluate what worked in the past and what will work in the future based on data. I’m excited to look more into other businesses in Carrigart and Donegal to relate them to the work that AllPeopleBeHappy does through their program.
From the G-teic coworking hub meeting, my main take away was the overall collaboration and sense of community that these workspaces have. They accommodate for reoccurring customers, mainly from both Ireland and Northern Ireland, as well as family’s, tourists, and other online customers. Some of my questions going into that meeting were, what specific demographic do you focus on advertising to, and what social media platforms they operate on. The thing I found most interesting about the meeting was the caravan parks and how many people stay there throughout the summer months. Although a lot of people have summer homes, I was surprised to learn about the large number of people that utilize that extra living space.
