On the Road in Ireland

Today we made our way from Belfast to our resting area for the rest of the trip, Milford. On the way, we visited many different tourist destinations, and it was an incredible experience seeing the rural countryside of the Republic of Ireland. We stopped at the famous Game of Thrones filming site, the Dark Hedges, and although I haven’t seen the show, I just started reading the series, so it was a cool experience, nevertheless. The environment was beautiful, with trees lining the road. There were actually a lot of people there, as well as a hotel with a nice area and an immersive experience for fans of the show.

From there, we went further into the countryside and stopped at a beautiful fort. From there, we could really see the true beauty of the country and the surrounding area, even though it was pretty cold. The sites were special because of the personal connections they had to people, whether it was the natural beauty of the fortress or the scenes from Game of Thrones. The owners of the sites and the restaurants we visited, which also featured Game of Thrones themes, used those personal connections through popular shows and unique touches, like dog‑friendly areas with free treats.
