This is day three of my blog post! Slowly, our team is progressing and communicating to fully ensure our project will be successful. Today we learned about the Honors College track, and the World of Global Business Programs, they both served as interesting, and reliable paths for Panther students to connect and obtain benefits! With the two conversations about the Honors College Track, and the World of Global Business Programs, I was most interested with the World of Global Business Programs. Don’t get me wrong, the Honors College Track is great, gives you a ton of benefits within the University, good opportunities for scholarships, and great networking with previous Alumni. But with the World of Global Business Program, it stood out to me mainly because of the amount of networking/socializing not just within University of Pittsburgh, but you get a variety of many global experiences, consulting projects, and the best part that it’s around the world. Well, in this case this is my opinion since I am a business student. Both options are great, but depending on what you’re majoring in and what opportunities you want to obtain really is more opinion based.

Bryan Schultz, the director of Global Experiences, introduced and talked about the learning and global experiences here at Pitt, and what we could get out of it. With our entire group today, we learned about the multiple offers that the Global Business Programs proposed, and I was most interested in the Global Business Institute. What really caught my attention for this specific program was the mixture of cultures you would get from this program alone, you get to study internationally, and you get the chance to get an international internship! Mainly the international internship interested me the most because it gives you the option to complete real work experience but also doing school work at the same time. Hopefully by the time I am done with my first year of college, I’ll be looking into these programs and taking advantage of the opportunities Pitt has to offer.
