A Not So Irish Goodbye

on

On Thursday, we finally reached the end of the program. All our research of Carrigart and its main street led up to our final presentations on the topic. My scope of work was regarding potential partnerships within businesses on the main street, and how they can strengthen their reach to customers. It was one of the most nerve racking experiences of my life, but I gave 110% and remembered that my goal was to help, so as long as I gave it my all, I would be proud of myself.

Overall, this experience is unlike any other. I’ve grown so much in the last month academically and personally. Pushed out of my comfort zone, I adapted to challenges with the support of my fellow Haller students and my teachers and guides. Not everything is learned within a classroom, and the Haller Global Fellowship is a perfect example of that. I will never forget the people, the places, or the memories of this program, and I am very grateful to be able to say I accomplished something as monumental as consulting for a small town main street business ecosystem. As I finish this chapter with Pitt Business, I know the next one is right around the corner. I extend my gratitude to everyone who supported me this past month on this journey and will continue to be the change I wish to see in the world.
