My Time Abroad

It is hard to sum up my experiences and time in London in a few paragraphs. It was the most unique and exhilarating experiences of my life. I have never felt more fulfilled after a semester than I do right now.

When I first arrived, I was a bit nervous. Nervous that this experience wouldn’t live up to my expectation, nervous about not making any connections, nervous about my internship placement. But after the first week, they all went away.

I learned and experienced so much from being on my own for so long. I learned so many things in terms of professional and academic knowledge but I also learned so much about every day life around the world and even more about myself. I learned how to stand on my own, how to travel by myself confidently, and how to be a daily commuter. I learned so much of what it means to be an adult on this trip, much more than I would have expected.

I would recommend studying abroad to every student. The stories people tell about their life changing experiences may seem artificial and cliché but they are not. Studying abroad made me come into the person I know I want to be. It made me step out of so many comfort zones and experiences life to the fullest. It will be an experience I cherish forever.
