I’ve noticed a considerable amount of waste on the streets of Dublin. Large machines came through which scrubbed the streets and cleaned up the waste. I believe that it is clear to the Irish citizens that they have a single-use plastic and paper problem. This conclusion supports the idea that Sarah may have demand for her cup. Further, our walking tour guide put an emphasis on the ideas of unity in Ireland. The Irish people have struggled for hundreds of years for their right to form their own country and this fight is still continuing to this day. I believe it’s possible that the Irish people would be open to reusable cups once Ireland puts an emphasis on their post-consumer waste problem. They may wish to have a clean and sustainable identity for their much-loved country.
