Opportunities in Dublin

In Dublin, I noticed a lot less trash on the streets and reusable dining ware in restaurants. It seems that Irish people are very open to sustainability efforts and that there is a good market for ShareClub to succeed. While some people here in the U.S. might be anti-sustainability, ShareClub’s market segments are more plentiful, and they have potential customers outside of the young, environmentally conscious group.

I have also noticed a lot of independent cafes around the city. Since one of ShareClub’s expansion plans is to partner with cafes, this could be useful. It would be hard to partner with a large, international chain, such as Starbucks, as they have multiple levels of management to go through, and creating new systems would be complicated with hundreds of locations. Independent cafes have more incentive to join ShareClub, as they have higher inventory costs, as it is cheaper to order products in bulk as an established chain of cafes.
