My journey in Bordeaux, France, attending KEDGE Business School, has been undeniably enlightening. This experience has been truly transformative, and I have decided to extend my stay for another semester. The impact on my life has been incredible, and I sense that my mission here is not yet complete and I need to see it through. I am committed to further developing my French language skills, in order to embrace the challenge I will be taking a leadership course conducted entirely in French. Understanding a language and its culture requires more than a semester; it demands passion, immersion, depth and time. I aim to continue this immersive experience, knowing that a deeper understanding will enrich my personal, academic, and professional growth. I have noticed that I have been becoming more disciplined while still remaining adventurous and curious. Whether it was studying for finals this week or planning a trip with my friends to go ski this winter in the Alps. The duality of still developing academically and learning new life and travel skills is a very important aspect I believe I have learned here. Even though I miss my family and friends, I get to experience new places, things, events and even meet new people from all over the world. I highly value what both of these Universities have done for me and I will cherish these rewarding memories forever. I have grown incredibly in my academic career since in France they have a completely different style of teaching. Adapting to three hour long classes, the grading system and the project heavy courses has been a great test for myself. With my remaining time at Pitt Business, I will be able to share with my peers all my knowledge, answer any questions they may have about the culture and help other students with their study abroad programs. Working with the Pitt Business Global Office would be a way I could give back to the community and advise future peers who have the interest in moving to France, since it can be a tough process at first. Leveraging this knowledge and cultural insight in my future will help me in my career pursuits and dreams. I can now say I have a global perspective and adaptive leadership skills that I can bring to the table. I am extremely grateful for all the new souvenirs to come, but of course Pittsburgh I miss you! I will be back soon. Merci!
